Images & Inspiration, Composition 6, Woodpeckers times 2: Today, in these trees behind my mom’s, I heard a woodpecker doing what God put him here to do & pleasing Him as it gave a tree what for with the rat-a-tat-tat of its beak. I thought about Olympian Eric Lidell’s line from the film “Chariots of Fire”. “…He made me fast & when I run, I feel his pleasure.” I also thought about Montana Tech football coach Bob Green’s quote on attitude. “ You gotta be like a woodpecker in a petrified forest, keep busy & look for opportunity “
