This morning over 5 o’clock coffee, for the second time in as many weeks I watched hurricane coverage & its gut punch of “how will we recover?” & “why us?” to residents up & down the east coast. Now, close to 9AM, I look at a cloudless, piercing blue sky delivered from God’s Crayola box & realize that I have survived 100% of every day that I’ve asked those pounding how & why questions. Everyone has a source, a well they draw from for strength, for resolve in the difficulties be it religious or cosmic. For me, it’s a resurrected Middle Eastern carpenter & this a good day to remember to say “Thank you God”, for the days of despair when I remembered Him, for the days of delight when I forgot Him, & for every day because He never forgot me…
